El invierno pasado, cuando estuvimos en París, las estanterías de la tienda de la Ópera Garnier estaban repletas de productos promocionales de "Ballerina", una bonita película de animación dirigida por los franceses Éric Summer y Éric Warin, con una fantástica banda sonora, estrenada en los cines a comienzos de este año...

Felicia sueña con ser una gran bailarina. Su amigo Víctor le ayuda a escapar del orfanato en el que ambos han crecido, pero al llegar a París sus caminos se separan...

Él comienza a trabajar en el estudio del ingeniero Gustave Eiffel mientras ella se cuela en el Palacio de la Ópera de París y, sin saber muy bien cómo, consigue convertirse en alumna de la escuela de baile...

Para conseguir el papel debe plasmar en su danza todo su dolor, su rabia, su tristeza y su alegría; ha de sentir la música: cada nota, cada sonido..., y conseguir que todo su cuerpo vibre, desde el primer mechón de su cabello hasta la punta de sus pies.

Su futuro está en sus manos, pero se comporta de un modo irresponsable y pretencioso: se deja llevar por sus impulsos, despreciando la ayuda y los consejos de sus amigos, y fiándolo todo a su pasión por la danza. Deja pasar su oportunidad pero, afortunadamente, aún está a tiempo de rectificar...
